York House, Windsor

Completed in 2020, One of our key clients, Willmott Dixon were awarded a £10m contract to refurbish the existing Local Authority Council offices at York House in Windsor. The existing building was almost entirely stripped back to the concrete and steel frame before receiving new elevational treatments, constructed with a quality brick finish, which gives the building a “civic presence” within the street scene opposite the Victoria Barracks; home of the Coldstream Guard. The existing roof was replaced by an additional storey of office accommodation, which has been set-back from the main building line to reduce its impact on the street frontage. Roofline provided the waterproofing system to the new roof, covering approx.4000m2 in total including the lower level terrace areas with a high performance built up felt system, incorporating tapered Insulation, roof paving and roof safety systems.
