Mark Jones

Managing Director

Mark co-founded the Roofline Group with his parents in 1991, serving as Commercial Director from the company’s inception before being appointed Manging Director in 2002. Over more than three decades, he has led the business through sustained growth, establishing Roofline as one of the UK’s leading independent roofing and waterproofing specialists, recognised nationally for technical excellence, innovation and developing future talent. In 2026, the company was honoured to be named Construction News Specialist Contractor of the Year, reflecting the dedication, expertise and commitment of the entire Roofline team.

Mark is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Group, working alongside the Board of Directors to drive sustainable growth, maintain strong corporate governance and ensure the business continues to deliver exceptional roofing, waterproofing and building envelope solutions. His focus is centred on building long-term client relationships, investing in people, embracing innovation and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and customer service.

With more than three decades of experience in the roofing and waterproofing industry, Mark has developed extensive expertise in roofing systems, waterproofing technologies, business leadership, commercial management, estimating, quantity surveying, finance, strategic planning and organisational development. He continues to play an active role in supporting clients and project teams by providing technical guidance and commercial insight on complex projects.

Mark holds a National Diploma in Business, Economics & Finance and was proud to be a Fellow of the Institute of Roofing (FIoR) for over 15 years, recognising his contribution to the roofing Industry prior to the Institute becoming part of the Chartered Institute of Building. He is passionate about developing future leaders, creating opportunities for people to progress within the business and ensuring Roofline continues to build on its reputation as an employer of choice and trusted delivery partner.

Away from the business, Mark has been a competitive racing driver for more than 12 years, achieving numerous podium finishes across a variety of race car championships. The preparation, precision, teamwork and continuous pursuit of improvement demanded by motorsport reflect the same values he brings to leading the Roofline Group every day.

Steve Marsh

Commercial Director

Steve joined the Roofline Group in 2008 and has played an integral role in the company’s continued growth and success. As Commercial Director, he leads the commercial team, overseeing business development, client relationships, estimating and commercial strategy to ensure Roofline continues to deliver exceptional value and service across every project.
With more than 18 years of industry experience, Steve has built a reputation for developing strong, long-term relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners. His collaborative approach, commercial expertise and commitment to understanding clients’ objectives help ensure Roofline consistently delivers competitive, high-quality roofing and waterproofing solutions.
Steve works closely with our Board of Directors to identify new opportunities, shape business strategy and support the sustainable growth of the Group. He is passionate about developing people, mentoring his team and fostering a culture built on professionalism, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Steve Holds a National Diploma in Business and Finance and his experience spans business development, commercial management, contract negotiation, sales strategy, client relationship management and strategic planning, helping to strengthen Roofline’s position as one of the UK’s leading roofing and waterproofing specialists.
Outside of work, Steve is the First Team Women’s football Manager for Havant & Waterlooville Football Club, where he enjoys helping young players develop both their footballing ability and confidence. The teamwork, leadership and commitment required on the pitch are qualities he brings into his professional role every day.

Tom Dunaway

Operations Director

Tom has been a key part of the Roofline Group for much of his career, progressing through a number of senior leadership roles before returning to the business in 2022. His experience both within Roofline and across the wider construction industry brings valuable commercial, operational and strategic expertise to the Group.
As Operations Director, Tom is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects across the business, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and customer service are maintained from pre-construction through to completion. Working closely with our clients, supply chain partners and project teams, he is committed to delivering complex roofing and waterproofing projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Throughout his career, Tom has held senior operational and commercial leadership positions within specialist construction businesses, gaining extensive experience in business management, project delivery, commercial performance and client relationships. His broader industry experience has strengthened Roofline’s operational capability and supports the continued growth of the business.
Tom is passionate about developing high-performing teams, improving operational processes and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. He works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure Roofline continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients while maintaining the company’s reputation for technical excellence and reliability.
Away from the office, Tom enjoys playing football each week and is a passionate rugby supporter, following the game from grassroots level through to the international stage. His appreciation for teamwork, commitment and strong leadership in sport reflects the same values he brings to his role at Roofline every day.

Amanda Van der Heijdt

Finance Director

Amanda joined the Roofline Group in 2004 and has played a key role in supporting the company’s continued growth, financial stability and long-term success.
As Finance Director, Amanda leads the Group’s finance function and works closely with the Board of Directors and colleagues across the business to provide the financial insight, governance and strategic support required for informed decision-making. Her role encompasses financial planning, reporting, forecasting, risk management and maintaining the strong financial controls that underpin the successful operation of the Group.
Before joining Roofline, Amanda worked as an auditor for AT&T’s Global Network, where she developed a strong foundation in financial management, governance and commercial performance. This experience, combined with her extensive knowledge of Roofline and the specialist construction sector, enables her to provide valuable guidance across both day-to-day operations and longer-term business planning.
Amanda is proud to lead a talented and dedicated finance team and is passionate about developing people and creating a supportive, collaborative environment in which individuals can grow and thrive. She works closely with teams throughout Roofline, ensuring they receive the clear financial information and practical support needed to manage projects effectively and contribute to the Group’s continued success.
Outside of work, Amanda is a talented glass fusion artist and runs her own studio, creating distinctive pieces using colour, texture and kiln-formed glass. Her creativity, precision and attention to detail reflect many of the qualities she brings to her role at Roofline.

Sam Jones

Business Director

Sam joined the Roofline Group in 2015 and is an excellent example of the company’s commitment to developing talent from within. Having progressed through a number of roles including Contract Administrator, Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, he joined the Board of Directors in 2026 as Business Director. Co-ordinating between the commercial, financial and operational departments of the business, Sam plays a diverse an integral role in the company’s day-to-day functioning. Supporting project delivery, commercial management and the continued development of Roofline. His background in quantity surveying provides a strong commercial foundation, enabling him to work closely with staff, clients, project teams and supply chain partners to ensure projects are delivered successfully while maintaining quality, value and strong commercial performance. Sam is passionate about continuous improvement, embracing new technology and finding innovative ways to support the business. As one of the next generation of Roofline’s leadership team, he is committed to building lasting client relationships, supporting colleagues across the business and contributing to the company’s long-term growth and success. He holds a qualification in Quantity Surveying through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), together with an Extended Diploma in Business, providing a strong combination of commercial and business knowledge. Outside of work, Sam has a passion for cinema and video editing. He is also the proud owner of Farleigh, Roofline’s much-loved office dog, who is a familiar face around the business and always popular with colleagues and visitors alike. Sam’s appointment to the Board reflects Roofline’s long-term commitment to developing future leaders from within the business.
